Join our innovative team as a Virtual Registered Nurse (VRN) and play a pivotal role in reshaping patient care through telehealth. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to provide expert nursing services to adult patients in diverse healthcare environments, including acute care, critical care units, and skilled nursing facilities. You will collaborate closely with on-site clinical teams, guiding patient care and ensuring the highest levels of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a clinical authority within a dynamic care team, delivering premier virtual nursing support.
- Employ critical thinking and evidence-based methodologies to evaluate, diagnose, and orchestrate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families, mentor fellow nursing professionals, and bolster interdisciplinary teams.
- Showcase acute and/or critical care proficiency to promote patient safety and enhance health outcomes.
- Utilize remote clinical systems effectively, navigating electronic medical records (EMRs) such as Epic, Cerner, and Meditech.
- Monitor and analyze telemetry, EKGs, and other essential data to inform clinical interventions.
- Uphold patient advocacy, proactive care monitoring, and efficient, patient-centered service.
Required Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of telemetry monitoring and critical care protocols.
- Proficient in EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.).
- Exceptional communication abilities, capable of delivering clear guidance to both patients and healthcare colleagues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in acute or critical care settings.
- At least 1 year of leadership or charge nurse experience.
- Current RN license.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
